Description: the second DC-6 airframe of Delta Air Transport was delivered at Antwerp on April 9 1972 as "TF-FIP" in the full livery of Icelandair, its previous operator. It was immediate serviced and reprayed in the beautiful red color scheme of DAT. But due to an accident with its other DC-6 (OO-FVG), it was urgently needed and the tail motive was not added yet nor the Belgian registration when it became operational from April 15 onwards. Here seen such two days later during a brief stop on some training flights at Ostend.
