late 60's Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: collection Skystef Description: this almost factory fresh airframe was one of the earliest Cessna imports into Belgium registered on July 10 1963 to Sotramat which stood for Société de Transports Aériens Maritimes et Terrestres. It was established on May 7 1958 based at Brussels Airport and Antwerp airport with at first the core business being the import of propeller drives Cessna airframes. Later in the sixties it went to Abelag Aviation, established in 1964 and basing it at Grimbergen airfield. Here seen such when on a visit to Antwerp airport in a livery without titles. |

10/1971 Location: OST/EBOS Photo: Ger Buskermolen Description: in 1969 it went to Air Transport owned by Charles Pommé, who was also the founder of Transpommair and basing this aircraft at Moorsele airfield. Although no official file exists it seems it could with Transpommair as well (or at least making an ad for his company) as seen here when in maintenance inside a hangar at Ostend airport with these titles, most probable after it was in 1971 already sold to a private user (F. Eelbode) basing this airframe at Ostend airport. |

late 70's Location: GNK/EBZW Photo: collection Skystef Description: in 1976 it went to Merlin Air Trade also based at Ostend airport and later in 1979 to a private user (V. Melotte) which based it at Kiewit airfield, here seen such in Velbo colors. On January 15 1985 it moved on to Albro nv based at Keiheuvel airfield and on September 24 1987 to a private user (E. Brughmans) again based at Kiewit airfield. On August 18 1999 it was cancelled from the register ending up one month later in the Germany one, namely on September 14, for a private user as "D-EOOM". |
