28/02/1987 Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: Paul Saey Description: on February 27 1987, the first F28 airframe of Delta Air Transport arrived in the late evening at Antwerp in the markings of previous American operator Pilgrim Airlines, here seen such one day after its arrival. During its delivery flight from the States, it was damaged at Keflavik when it landed short of the runway and continued later its leg to Antwerp with gear down. After a couple of days standing idle at Antwerp it was ferried on March 4 to Woensdrecht for repairs and was also repainted in their own livery, being finalised in May 1987. |

The aircraft made its final commercial flight for Sabena on May 2 1996, the last six months being all white without titles due to an upcoming sale which did occur on May 31 and it left Brussels on June 1 1996 as "PK-YPT" for Mandala Airlines. |
