Description: this second hand Yakovlev 11, build in 1947 by Czech aircraft manufacturer Let Kunovice, was on March 24 1986 registered to Bap-Air, established on August 10 1984 and based at Charleroi airport. It was under restoration for several years, at first at Marcinelle (Belgium) and since March 1988 at Charleroi airport. On May 12 1988 it made its first test flight and was painted in a dark blue Polish military outfit carrying number "11" on the fuselage with also a red Russian star on the fuselage and in the tail. Later in spring 1990 it was repainted in a different military camouflage outfit, here depicted such. In summer 1993 its base moved to Chartres airport in France and on February 20 2001 it moved on to a private user (A. Hage), basing the Yak at the same French airport. With the ownership change the livery was updated around that time in a light blue - light grey camouflage outfit. In 2002 the base moved to another French airport, namely Lyon-Bron. In summer 2003 it was put for sale and on January 4 2005 registered in France as "F-AZYA" to another private user M. Defaye. Over a year later on May 22 2006 it was cancelled from the Belgian register.
