late 60's Location: -/EBGB Photo: collection Skystef Description: build in 1952, this second hand Piper (ex USAAF) was on August 27 1968 as "OO-HME" registered to a private user (F. Vanderstraeten) which based its aircraft at Moorsele airfield. On October 21 1968 it was re-registered as "OO-VLF" and went three days later to the Vlaamse Luchtvaartbond but was not used by them. Instead it went to Centre National de Vol à Voile, established in 1950 and basing the airframe at Balen-Keiheuvel airport. In 1969 it went to Aeroclub Keiheuvel, established on October 18 1956 and based at the same airport. Here seen in the camouflage outfit of the first operator. |

70's Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: collection Skystef Description: in 1971 it went to Publi-Sky, established on January 1 1968 which was an Antwerp based company for bannertowing, here depicted such in their livery with a sticker on the fuselage as ad for its activities (see also upper left inset). On October 16 1974 it was cancelled from the register migrating five days later to the English one as "G-BCPI" for.Kent Gliding Club Ltd. |
