1984 Location: -/EBGB Photo: Freddy Ceulemans Description: this American designed helicopter was on August 12 1975 registered to Abelag Aviation, established in 1964, and was the fourth Enstrom F-28A for which Abelag became the dealer in Belgium, ultimate eight units came in the Belgian register. It did stay only for a brief period with Abelag as in October 1975 it moved on Ardennes Air Chopper, established on May 10 1975 and based at St Hubert airfield. On March 28 1984 it went to Publi-Air based at Grimbergen airfield, here seen such in a livery inhereted from the previous operator and without titles. On November 14 1984 it went to Heli-Namur based at Namur airport and with them it was on April 25 1986 damaged beyond repair on a hard landing at Libramont (Belgium) after been out of control on a sharp right hand turn at low altitude, but luckely with no casualties among the two on board. It was much later cancelled from the register, namely on January 22 2019. |
