07/1981 Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: collection Skystef Description: this factory fresh Mooney was on January 30 1979 registered to the Limburgse Vleugels, established on July 5 1957 and based at Zwartberg airfield. Here seen such on a visit to Antwerp airport in a livery with some extra stickers as (just like OO-EEC) it participated a trans-Atlantic race for light aircraft held in June 1981 between Paris (Le Bourget) - New York (Bridgeport) and vice versa during the Paris Air Show which was called "Air Transat". Above the back window tiny "Aero-Zigo" titles are present as well (see also upper left inset). |

The airframe itself came to a sad end as on July 18 1987 it crashed into high terrain in poor visibilities at Knockmealdown (Eire) when enroute Cork - Dublin killing all four on board. It was cancelled on February 15 2000. |
