31/03/1993 Location: GNK/EBZW Photo: collection Skystef Description: this second hand Piper arrived in a container during February 1993 at Zwartberg airfield as "N82407" and was registered a month later on March 22 to the Limburgse Vleugels, a club which was established on July 5 1957. The airframe was used for towing gliders, here seen at it home base on its first flight in a livery without titles. After been laid up in a local hangar since 2004, it went on March 1 2007 officially to private owner (C. Neidt), but before on January 22 2007 arriving at Antwerp airport for overhaul by Raymond's Aircraft Restoration. This lasted one year making on March 18 2008 a local test flight being delivered in an updated outfit to Midden-Zeeland airfield (the Netherlands) one month later, namely on April 6. On regular base it was at disposal to Diest Aero Club and after been for sale since 2019 it went to France as "F-HPMO" for Centre Ecole à Voile du Haut-Béam being cancelled from the register on May 26 2020. |
