70's Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: collection Skystef Description: build in 1953, this second hand Piper was registered on June 4 1970 to a private user (V. Melotte) based at Kiewit airfield. The same year it went to Skyworks, a company establised on January 1 1970 based at Antwerp airport for bannertowing, here seen such with titles and its telephone number. In 1976 it migrated to another private user (M. Bruyndonck) basing the Piper at Ghent airfield and afterwards more private users followed. |

01/09/1984 Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: collection Skystef Description: here it's seen when since 1981 with private user (L. Haesevoets), still in the same outfit as when with Skyworks but carrying only a tiny advertisment in the tail of a radio show called "Te bed of niet te bed", a sign of "BRT" which was the Belgian national radio and television channel (now VRT) and a logo of a Belgian bank 'Gemeentekrediet' (now Belfius). After been for sale since 1990 it went later that year unofficially to a private user (J. Van Den Bosch) basing it at Beverlo airfield. On August 26 1991 it was cancelled from the register and ended on September 11 in England as "G-BTUR" for a private user George Cormack, the first years without changing the color scheme. |
