Description: build in 1953, this second hand Piper (ex USAAF and ex Belgian Army as "OL-L136") was on June 4 1970 registered to a private user (V. Melotte) which based its aircraft at Kiewit airfield. On November 20 of the same year it went to Skyworks (established on January 1 1970) for bannertowing and based it at Antwerp airport. Here seen such in the livery of the Belgian Army but without titles. When on lease to B.S.D. Aeroclub F.B.A. it was on May 4 1975 slightly damaged on an emergency landing in a field at Kruibeke (Belgium) due to engine troubles without harm of the two occupants on board. A report of this incident (in Dutch) can be found here. No action was undertaken when its CofA did expire on October 9 1975 and it was cancelled from the register on November 16 1979.
