1973 Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: collection Skystef Description: this factory fresh Cessna (build by Reims) was on January 31 1969 registered to the Royal Motor Union Aviation (R.M.U.A.) established on December 14 1946 and based at Liège airport. Here seen in a livery with small "R.M.U.A." titles in the tail (see upper left inset) with behind a parked Delta Air Transport DC-4 "N38934". On April 1 1975 its CofA did expire and migrated in mid 1976 unofficially to a private user (V. Melotte) for possible restoration, but remained laid up for decades in his hangar at Kiewit airfield. In 2006 it was seen as gate guardian near disco 'The Pilot' at Ysselsteyn (the Netherlands) and in 2012 it was put inside this disco hanging on the ceiling. It was cancelled from the register on February 3 2020. |
