Description: this vintage 1951 build Piper (ex USAAF) came on September 12 1968 in the register as "OO-HMU" for a private user (F. Vanderstraeten) basing its airframe at Moorsele airfield. On March 15 1969 it was re-registered as "OO-LGB" and was supposed to go to Royal Motor Union Aviation based at Liège airport, but this deal fell through and instead the aircraft went to a private user (T. Hulsmans) basing it at Beverlo airfield. On June 18 1973 it went to Aéroclub Sanicole (Beverlo airfield) followed on August 9 1978 by a couple private users (L. Bruynkens & G. Laps) basing the airframe at Brasschaat airfield. On January 19 1981 the Piper went to the local flying club over there namely Aeroclub van Brasschaat which was established on April 30 1969, here seen such in a livery without titles.

Aelaerts (+ others) and it was air tested again on June 6 2010 still in the Belgian Air Force outfit but this time with fake serial "OL-L49", here seen such. Meanwhile it was sold to M. Aelaerts, much later officially registered to him on October 16 2014. On February 22 2021 it moved on to BK Aviation (Brasschaat airfield) and since March 20 2023 it's current with NorthCamp (also Brasschaat airfield). It was shipped by boat in March 2024 bound for the States and left the register a few months later on June 20 in favor of the American one as "N524BE" registered to Ben Philipsen.
