23/06/1989 Location: BRU/EBBR Photo: collection Skystef Description: this factory fresh Robin R.3000 was registered on June 16 1989 to Flanders Wings, established on October 29 1985 and based at Zottegem airfield, later (after Zottegem had to close its doors in the summer of 1992), Amougies airfield and Ursel Air Base. Here seen at Brussels Airport just after been delivered in a livery with small "Flanders Wings" titles on its nose (see upper left inset). This airframe took part of the Tour de France Aérien des Jeunes Pilotes during the summer of 1994. On June 19 1997 it migrated to Propeller bvba based at Wevelgem airport and between January 26 2006 - May 20 2011 it was leased to Ostend Air College with base remaining at Wevelgem airport. On September 3 2019 it left Wevelgem airport for Saint-Cyr airfield on sale to a new French operator 'ETIC-aero' as "F-GMRU" and was cancelled from the Belgian register six days later and on January 2020 officially moving to the French register. |
