Description: the third DC-6 of Delta Air Transport arrived on May 6 1972 at Antwerp as "OH-KDB" in the full outfit of previous operator Kar-Air. It came in the Belgian register four days later and is here seen just after a repaint but still in an incomplete DAT livery. On its nose it's already adorned with a logo representing the "51 International Service Club". See a few pictures below for more details of it.

Description: noted in the full livery which was the aircrafts only one during its stay with DAT and it became operational from May 14 1972 onwards.

Description: detail of "51 International Service Club" sticker on the nose (just like OO-VDF). The last two letters of the regi were referring to DAT's managing director Freddy Van Gaever. As also other aircraft of the company had a regi ending with "VG" it lead to confusion with ATC conversations and was re-registered on September 19 1973 to OO-VGE.

Description: it was baptized to an American astronaut "James A. Lovell" which was done by himself on June 6 1973, replacing the "51 IS Club" logo. On September 19 1973, it was reregistered OO-VGE.
