Description: this vintage 1951 build Piper (ex USAAF) came on September 12 1968 in the Belgian register as "OO-HMP" for a private owner (F. Van Der Straeten) basing it at Moorsele airfield. A few months later, namely on December 11, it migrated as "OO-DAS" to Gedair, established on November 21 1968 and based at Grimbergen airfield. Here it's seen such at its home base with small "Gedair" tail titles. On August 2 1970 it had a non-fatal accident at Namur airport but repaired afterwards. Another accident did occur on September 1 1973 at Grimbergen airfield, also repairable but it was mostly seen stored during the rest of seventies, in 1977 even noted laid up in a vertical position inside a hangar at Grimbergen airfield.

Description: on October 14 1980 it migrated to a duo private owners (A. De Bondt & J. Verlinden) but the airframe was again mostly stored at its home base Grimbergen airfield. By October 1983 it was repainted in a yellow livery, here seen such on a visit at Antwerp airport with in the tail a small logo of Vliegclub Grimbergen. In 1985 it was for sale and in October of the same year it went to Christiane Devleminck and this on behalf of Devleminck Air Services (DAS) which was a flight school based at Grimbergen airfield. On February 13 1986 it moved on to a private owner (R. Cuypers) which based its aircraft at Kiewit airfield. From 1990 onwards a couple (private) owners followed, the last ones being A. Lievens & J. Van de Woestyne which based their aircraft at Ursel Air Base. On October 1 2019 it was cancelled from the register being exported to France as "F-HLOG" for Union Aérienne Lille Roubaix Tourcoing.
