08/02/1969 Location: TIP/HLLT Photo: Ken Fielding Description: registered on September 28 1967, this BIAS Riley Dove was operating for Linair who on its turn subleased it to oil companies like BP which in the begin wore the colors of BP itself. Its headquarters were at Benghazi, but it operated from Benina. After an accident at its operational base on January 22 1968, it was repaired in England and continued working for Linair after been repainted with a blue color scheme like the other Linair DC-3's. Later in 1969 it was temporary leased to SIDMA wearing their full golden color scheme and when it went back operating for Linair, it retained the livery of SIDMA. |

10/1970 Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: collection Skystef Description: late 1970 the flights in Libya were discontinued and on April 15 1971 the airframe migrated to Antwerp based company Sotramat. Main tasks were however general aviation flights from Brussels and a few photoflights on behalf of Belfotop. Here after its return from Libya it's depicted in the SIDMA colors with partly erased titles. |
