Description: this vintage 1958 build American Bell helicopter was on March 22 1972 registered to Abelag Aviation, established in 1964, here depicted in the first livery (of two) during one of three visits to Antwerp airport in 1974. Its life came abruptly to an end when it crashed after a defect on the main rotor blade tailskid on August 2 1979 in l' Eglise les Fossés (Belgium) without casualties of the two on board. It was cancelled from the register on November 5 1979.
