Description: this second hand Piper Apache came after a 15 year career in Zaïre on July 13 1976 in the Belgian register for Merlin Air Trade, an air taxi operator which was established on November 23 1972 and based at Ostend airport. They never received an AoC for this airframe and it remained stored at Ostend airport, from 1979 onwards being abandoned and here seen such missing engines and nose in a livery inhereted from its previous operator but with the blue colors turned into green colors. On June 30 1981 it was cancelled from the register and broken up around that time.
