Piper PA.23-160 Apache (23-1640)

Description: this second hand Piper Apache, build in 1960, came according the official papers found in the General State Archives of Brussels in the Belgian register on September 29 1964 for a private user (H. Van Den Broeck) basing it at Antwerp airport. Here seen at Zwartberg airfield in the colors of previous operator Aero Contractors Company of Nigeria with its logo still on the back of the fuselage.

Description: seen in an updated livery when with the private user. On April 10 1970 it went to Limburg Air Taxi, established on December 22 1969 and based at Kiewit airfield.

Description: on October 30 1972 it migrated to Sotramat Aviation, one of the bigger players at Antwerp airport and established on May 7 1958, here seen at its home base in their full livery without titles.

Description: on December 18 1978 it merged with Hessenatie-Neptunus into Hessenatie-Sotramat Aviation, here seen such with updated livery but still without titles.

Description: noted with "HN" titles in the tail. The airframe left Antwerp airport on August 1 1980 being cancelled ten days later from the register moving a month later, on September 26, to the English one as "G-BICY" for Allen Technical Services Ltd and was still seen at Luton in the full outfit of the Belgian operator on March 28 1981.
