Boeing 737-2P6 Advanced (21359)

Description: depicted in their full "color" scheme, Abelag Airways second airframe was a B737-200. Leased from Guiness Peat Aviation (GPA), it was previously operated by Gulf Air and was made ready at Luton for the Belgian carrier and is seen here still registered as "A4O-BG".

Description: on January 9 1980 it came in the Belgian register and was ferried the same day to Brussels where it served the charter airline the following day till April 1982. In this period it was several short periods leased to another charter company "TEA", which at the end "took over" this aircraft.

Description: a couple of months later the airline changed its name to Air Belgium. Here depicted on the Abelag apron, the "color" scheme remained the same with a slightly larger Belgian flag.

Description: it was returned to lessor "GPA" in April 1982 and is here seen such devoid of titles. But from May 4 1982 onwards, it was again leased to TEA, this time reregistered to OO-TYB making such its first flight 4 days later.
