History: Belgian World Airlines (BWA) was formed by Luc Mellaerts on December 26 1997. A B767-300 OO-VAS was reserved to operate holiday charter for Airtours starting from February 1998 on. This airframe with msn 25535 carried the Belgian registration for a couple of days in an all white color scheme with no titles, but officially didn't enter the Belgian register. An attempt was done to take over activities of bankrupt ChallengAir, but the BWA project was cancelled in 1999.
